Miss Marble Luisa is a special edition of the collection of marble jars designed by Lorenza Bozzoli for Editions Milano.
Miss Marble Luisa is a tribute that Editions Milano pays to the genius, the creativity and the vision of Luisa Jaquin who – together with her husband, the Florentine Lido Panconesi, laid the foundations for the company that is recognized worldwide – after over 90 years – for its pioneering ability to discover and narrate talent.
Miss Marble Luisa is made in Rosa Portogallo marble, a natural stone of great value and rare beauty. It’s a particular kind of fine-grained crystalline marble quarried in Portugal, in the district between Lisbon and Madrid. Rosa Portogallo marble is characterized by a delicate shade of pink with light brown veins that vary according to the slab from which it is extracted.
Miss Marble is a precious interpretation of the traditional marmalade jar, a familiar object that is part of everyone’s life, created in the eternal material par excellence, marble. Ideal to store food, spices, bath salts and small objects from one’s beauty routine, Miss Marble can be used as well as a vase, displayed individually or matching with the other elements of the series.
The Miss Marble collection counts today 8 different versions, crafted from premium quality marbles quarried in Italy, Portugal and France. Each jar is made by hand from Editions Milano skilled Tuscan craftsmen.
Miss Marble Luisa is part of Editions Milano’s Bespoke program in which special editions of its marble objects are created and dedicated.
